The SD-1 Brake Rotor is the only cryogenically treated brake rotor that is manufactured from the ground up as a cryogenic product.

But cryogenics is not the only thing that makes our rotor great.

We use the best steel possible in our castings. We use special processes other than cryogenics that complement the material makeup of the rotor. We machine and balance our rotors on CNC equipment and break all of the sharp edges that the installer may come in contact with. We also add a multi-directional finish on the friction surface to nearly eliminate break-in time. Each CAI SD-1 Brake Rotor is embossed with the CAI logo so that there is no way to get the rotor mixed up with other products.

The SD-1 Brake Rotor will outlast conventional rotors by as much as 300% to 400% and pad life will be increased by 200% to 300%, no matter whose pad you use! (CAI strongly recommends not using ceramic and high-end carbon metallic pads. They are expensive and aggressive and won’t increase the life of the rotor.) The SD-1 is brake fade resistant and stops shorter than anything on the market.
